Our good friends at Hillebeg have sent us their latest tent to play with - the Allak 3. We're planning on taking it on our next overnight bushwalk but in the meantime here's some info about it;
The new three-person Allak 3 is strong, remarkably light (min 3.2kg) and fully freestanding. Like their popular two-person Allak 2, the Allak 3 boasts two entrances and two integrated vestibules, and is part of Hilleberg's all-season Red Label series, tents that prioritise lighter weight, but offering the strength needed for challenging weather conditions.
The Allak 3 will comfortably accommodate three people and their gear, just as the original Allak, (now called the Allak 2) will comfortably lodge two. Of course, the Allak 3 is also a good choice for two people who want more room or have more gear.
An optional mesh inner tent is available for both the Allak 2 and Allak 3. The inner tent can be used on its own, or it can be buttoned into the outer tent, replacing the standard inner tent.
Other features include:
Easy-to-use pole system combines short pole sleeves with clips for strength and quick pitching.
All season construction: outer tent walls extend to the ground and mesh areas are backed with adjustable fabric panels.
Linked inner and outer tents allow either simultaneous pitching or separate use for the greatest versatility.
Available early 2019. For more info click here and watch the video below.
