One of the most important things to take on a hike is water and a lot of bushwalkers are taking a tip from cyclists and using hydration bladders, as they hold a lot of liquid and most backpacks now have a compartment for them. But how do you keep them clean?

There’s a lot of different methods out there, from using baking powder to washing up liquid or even bleach… and either using tools or whatever you’ve got on hand at the time.

The video below demonstrates how to scrub out and rinse your hydration bladder with a couple of simple tools and baking soda.
