Police are warning walkers in a particular area of Adelaide to beware after a walker was injured by a mantrap.
news.com.au reports that the unnamed person was walking along a popular track in Christie Downs on Sunday morning when she was struck around the neck by fishing line.
The line had been strung up between trees over the footpath at neck height and there were reportedly multiple other traps set up all long the trail.
Police were called to the area just before 11am and removed line from the trail and across the driveway of a house.
Officers spoke to a number of people in the area and are seeking information from the local community about the incident.
“It is concerning and dangerous behaviour that could cause serious injury to a cyclist or pedestrian,” a police spokesperson said.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
