Tasmania’s Tarkine Wilderness is recognised as one of the world’s largest cool temperate rainforests – and hikers can explore it on a five-day trip with Park Trek Walking Holidays.
The trip takes visitors into the Tarkine Wilderness, with walks such as Philosophers Falls at the headwaters of the Arthur River, and Mount Donaldson with button grass slopes on the way to the summit. They will also cruise the MV Arcadia to the mouth of the Pieman River and out to the Tarkine Coast.
Great Walks is visiting the Tarkine in November thanks to Park Trek so stay tuned for photos and stories on that trip. In the meantime check out this video on what you'll experience.
