Tasmanian Iconic Walks (TIW) is offering its third fundraising event on the Apple Isle this year.
“Despite trying times, this event will happen!” says TIW founder and Chair Jo Cordell-Cooper.
“So now we call on all mad keen (or mad keen in training) hikers to form teams of 4 and start preparing. We ask our participants to raise $250 per person or $1,000 per team, and 100% of this goes to Stroke Foundation, our charity of choice.”
Eight teams have already expressed interest and have attracted two young survivors of stroke, Matt Picone and Nic Stephen. Both have had a stroke, been through rehabilitation and made excellent recoveries. Both Matt and Nic will bring teams to the event.
