The iconic Byron Bay coastline is the scene for the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter’s annual Coastal Charity Walk. Being part of this incredible and unique experience has been life changing for some people, it is also life changing for the people who the Service rescue each year thanks to the support raised from the event.
Starting in Ballina, on Sunday 26th May, 2019 entrants can take on the short walk to Lennox Head (13km) $50pp, the medium walk to Broken Head (25km) $65pp, or the trek all the way to Byron Bay (37km) $75pp.
The Walk as you head north up the coastline takes you along some of the best beaches in Australia and over some amazingly rugged headlands and landmarks such as the famous Cape Byron Lighthouse.
The event attracts over 1,500 people and makes for a fun and social way to spend some time with friends or family as you enjoy the walk and raise support for charity.
There are regular fruit, lollies and water stations included along the walk, free bus transfers back to the start line from the 3 finish points, as well as dedicated safety & first aid marshals to ensure you are well looked after.
