Adventure tour company World Expeditions is resuming two of its most popular NT hiking destinations from August 1, the iconic Larapinta Trail and the gorgeous Jatbula trail.

The Larapinta Trail is the mainland’s most famous hike and thanks to our wide range of options, from their ‘In Comfort’ series of walks to the full 223km traverse, they have a Larapinta walking experience for most fitness levels. Their small group guided walks along the Larapinta are strictly limited to 16 passengers so if you’re ready to head back out on the trails again, book your date soon.

The full-pack carrying trek along the Jatbula Trail on the Arnhem Land escarpment is the Top End’s must-do walk and will provide fitter trekkers with an exciting exploration of Nitmiluk National Park’s magnificent waterfalls, Jawoyn Aboriginal rock art and opportunities to refresh in the many fresh waterholes along the route. This trek is strictly limited to 10 people per trip.

At this stage our Kakadu Explorer is planned to return at a later date and will not recommence in August.

If you haven’t taken advantage of their $0 Deposit Offer yet, the good news is that you still can. World Ex will continue to accept $0 deposit bookings on the majority of our Australian trips and, for added peace of mind, payment of final balances for any confirmed Larapinta and Jatbula trips will be due 14 days prior to the trip departure date.

Airlines are offering some attractive airfares to help kick start domestic tourism and fare rules are also currently much more flexible.

The company has also completed a COVID-19 Safety Plan that is registered with the NT government. For more info on bookings etc click here.
