If you’re planning a holiday in Autumn 2024, then consider a visit to Lord Howe Island to soak up some sub-tropical sun.

It's a great way to beat the winters doldrums. Better still, if you travel in late April or May 2024, then the good people at Pinetrees Lodge include two free nights (Pay 5 Stay 7) or one free night (Pay 6 Stay 7), depending on your room choice.

They’ll also include free tours, all meals and more. You can even join their Food & Wine with Tom Kime week, or their Seven Peaks Walk with the same May Sale inclusions.

Food & Wine with Tom Kime, from 29 April to 4 May 2024, is a celebration of authentic regional cuisine and fine Australian wine (mixed with beach BBQs, swims in the lagoon, and maybe an extra bottle of wine at dinner).

Tom is a protégé of Rick Stein (The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow), Ruth Rogers (The River Café in London) and David Thompson (Darley Street Thai in Sydney), and author of six excellent cookbooks.

His master classes are an absolute sensory delight with amazing smells, funny stories and beautiful food cooked with care and respect. The best part, though, is that you get to taste everything Tom prepares, which can be up to 20 exceptional dishes over five days.

The other big news is that their Ocean Swim Weeks with Trevor Hendy are back. If you're a keen swimmer, and would like to diversify from the black line at your local pool, then join one of their two ocean swim weeks in Summer 2024.

There aren't many places in the world where you can swim - safely - over 90 species or coral and 500 species of fish (sometimes under 300m high sea cliffs).

When you’re not swimming, you'll be surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, snorkelling, diving and hiking (or not - it's a holiday after all).

In the evening, you'll then relax with a sunset drink on our waterfront deck and enjoy a four-course dinner with a lovely glass of wine.
