This month an Australian team is taking brain injury awareness to the summit of a real mountain and mounting an assault on the summit of Mont Blanc.

This climb, undertaken with the Brain Injury Association of New South Wales and mountain guiding company Adventure Consultants, will symbolise the hidden mountains that those with a brain injury and their carers and families must climb each day.

Each of the four members of the Summit Team has a lived experience of the effects of brain injury – two of them have a brain injury themselves, while the other two have experience of the long term care of a person with a brain injury.

They will be approaching Mont Blanc from either the North West using the Goûter Route or from the North via the Cosmiques route, depending on the weather conditions.
