GME has released its most advanced personal locator beacon (PLB) - designed and manufactured right here in Australia.

The new MT620GR has a range of cutting-edge features. It’s GME’s first PLB with RLS (return link service) coupled with a mobile app to enable greater clarity of the PLB operational status.

The RLS feature means that when, in an emergency, you turn on your PLB a small light will flash indicating a sattelitte has received your PLB’s signal and that signal is being relayed to the nearest Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC), in the case of Australia, that is in Canberra.

For a full break down on what happens when you activate your PLB click here.

In addition, the new PLB features GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) for improved global positioning, a 121.5 MHz homing signal to aid Search and Rescue SAR.

The MT620GR is approved for worldwide COSPAS-SARSAT operation, ensuring reliable distress alerting and Return Link Services globally.
