Great Walks was sent the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro and over the course of a few weeks we got to have a real play with it.
The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro stands out as a thoughtfully designed smartwatch that prioritises function over flash - a bit like us!
Crafted with a lightweight aluminium body, a titanium alloy bezel, and sapphire glass, it feels premium yet remains quite understated — built to withstand the elements without drawing attention. At just 27gm and only 9.3mm thick, it’s incredibly light and low-profile, making it easy to wear all day, whether you're working, training, or sleeping.

What sets this watch apart for outdoor enthusiasts is its exceptional GPS and navigation capabilities. The built-in dual-band GPS ensures accurate tracking even in dense forests or remote mountain trails.
Offline maps allow you to navigate without a phone or data connection — a game-changer when you're deep in the bush. Features like a barometer, trail navigation and turn-by-turn haptic guidance make this watch a reliable bushwalking companion, helping you stay on course and aware of elevation changes without needing to pull out your phone or a paper map (but of course you should always carry a paper map - just in case!).
The 1.82-inch AMOLED screen offers excellent readability in bright sunlight, perfect for glancing at route info mid-hike. Meanwhile, advanced health tracking — including ECG, HRV, SpO₂, sleep, and stress monitoring — provides valuable insights, all neatly integrated into the Huawei Health app.
Perhaps most impressively, the battery lasts up to 10 days with typical use, so you can head into multi-day adventures without constantly thinking about charging. In short, the Watch Fit 4 Pro delivers a quiet confidence — a smart, capable tool for bushwalkers who value reliability and simplicity.
