A Domino’s employee in Japan has officially redefined “fast food” – by hiking six hours up Mount Fuji to deliver a single pizza.

That’s right. One brave soul tackled Japan’s tallest mountain, armed with nothing but hiking gear, sheer willpower, and a heat-insulated pizza bag.

All to hand over one gloriously overpriced pizza to a climber with very specific cravings. The cost? A casual $962 – which is what you pay when you want mozzarella with a side of altitude sickness.

This wasn’t a weird prank or a dare gone wrong. It was part of Domino’s Japan’s limited-time “extreme delivery” campaign, offering pizza to the most remote, inconvenient locations imaginable — if you were willing to fork over the cash.

And naturally, someone took that very literally and placed an order from the summit of Mount Fuji. Because apparently, nothing says “conquering nature” like eating a pepperoni slice above the clouds.

The dedicated delivery legend packed the pie in an insulated carrier, laced up his boots, and made the epic trek like a marinara-fuelled mountaineer. No drones, no helicopters — just pure cardio and crust.

We don’t know if the customer left a tip (hopefully more than a polite “arigatou”), but we’re guessing the delivery guy earned a long nap and possibly a new job.

Moral of the story? When Domino’s says they deliver anywhere, they mean it. Just don’t expect it in under 30 minutes — unless you’re ordering from base camp.
