The Great Walks April-May issue is out now and on its way to subscribers and newsagents!
The theme of the mag is 'Get back to the bush' where we encourage all readers to help bushfire affected areas by returning to these towns and wilderness areas and helping support struggling communities.
Areas we look at are the Blue Mountains, Vic High Country and Tassie's Du Can range. We also cross the ditch to experience NZ's new face of eco-tourism in the North Island and then we head all the way down to Tierra del Fuego in Patagonia.
We also have some wonderful day walks in Far North Qld and honour the first ANZACs in Albany, WA.
Of course a lot has happened since we put the mag together (coronavirus I'm talking to you!) so some travel may be limited, however if you can get to these towns and wilderness areas (and practice good hygiene!) you'll have a great time.
We reckon bushwalking is pretty safe in this current climate and here we tell you why.
Also in the mag we show you how to camp cook for the masses and review some of the best gear to take on the Overland Track and other similar walks.
AND there's a Cape to Cape walking holiday for two up for grabs! So make sure you get your (well washed) hands on a copy of the April-May issue. Not a subscriber? Click here.
