Carla Nicholson, Buttongrass plains at Ronny Creek (PLACES WILDERNESS)

As we walked through the buttongrass plains towards Ronny Creek in Cradle Mountain N.P, the breeze buffeting the grass gave a shifting timeless feel to the landscape and you really got the sense that nothing has really changed here for a very long time. It felt almost prehistoric.
