Heather Lyons, Fern staircase (PLACES WILDERNESS 2022)

On a tour of Fraser Island, we stopped at the pristine rainforest of Pile Valley. This image immediately caught my eye. The layers of ferns, boarded & surrounded by the huge trees, were like a staircase to the sky.
