Alistair Drew, Stoney Creek Falls (PLACES WILDERNESS 2022)

I came across Stoney Creek Falls on a recent trip exploring the waterfalls of north Queensland. The long cascading falls were a contrast to the many large plummeting falls I'd already seen, and they seemed calm and peaceful in comparison. The local mosquito population however was nowhere near calm and peaceful in their enthusiasm to feed from every part of my exposed skin.
