The Southern Circuit in Wilsons Promontory National Park is one of Australia’s classic multi-day bushwalks, taking hikers deep into the wild and remote southern reaches of the park.
Typically completed over three to four days, the circuit covers around 60km and links some of the Prom’s most spectacular coastal landscapes, including secluded beaches, granite headlands and lush rainforest gullies.
Starting from Telegraph Saddle, walkers descend to iconic campsites such as Sealers Cove, Refuge Cove and Little Waterloo Bay. The route offers a mix of well-formed tracks, beach walking and more challenging sections through dense vegetation and rugged terrain. Highlights include sweeping views across the coastline, pristine swimming spots and the chance to spot native wildlife such as wombats, kangaroos and echidnas.
As this video shows the Southern Circuit rewards those seeking a true wilderness experience, combining physical challenge with some of the most beautiful coastal scenery in Victoria.
