Mount Barney (1,359m) in the Scenic Rim presents one of SE Queensland’s most enthralling and demanding hikes. Ascents typically follow the South East Ridge or South ("Peasants") Ridge—both steep, unmarked and requiring advanced bushwalking, navigation and scrambling skills.
