Tour of the week: Flinders and Beyond Camel Treks

Our tour of the week is with Flinders and Beyond Camel Treks who offer a range of camel safaris in the Northern Flinders Ranges.

The treks range from 3 to 21 days. During the treks, the camels carry all of the food, water and swags using traditional pack saddles, a rarely seen art form in its self.

The nightly campsite is chosen depending on camel feed. There are no set camps, no roads and no vehicle support – just plenty of space and big blue skies!

Join Flinders and Beyond Camel Treks on a walking tour and visit Lake Frome. Hiking through the iconic Chambers Gorge, across red sand dunes and reaching the sparkling salt Lake Frome.

Enjoy trekking with only a light day pack as the gentle giants carry all supplies for the entire trek eliminating the need for any vehicles. This is a 12 walking day trek, fully catered, comfy dome swags provided for a peaceful night beneath the stars, transfers and a nights accommodation all included.
