If you love your photography as much as you love your bushwalking we have some huge news!

Now in its second year, Great Walks' Wilderness Photographer of the Year, presented by Southern Ocean Walk is open and looking to showcase more inspiring images of the great outdoors.

"We were so pleased with how last year's inaugural competition went," says Great Walks editor Brent McKean. "We had around 500 entries and the quality of images was very high."

"Our judges had quite the task shortlisting entries and choosing winners, and I expect this year's comp will make their work even harder."

With a prize pool of $12,000, including $5,000 cash, the competition is open to Australian and New Zealand photographers.

There are two categories, People and PLaces. The best images, including winners, runners-up and Top 10 in each category will also be featured in the February-March 2023 issue of Great Walks magazine, and on www.greatwalks.com.au (see last year's finalists here)

Prizes include guided walks with Southern Ocean Walk and Life's Adventure, GME personal locator beacons and cash, cash, cash!

Entry fees per photo start from $15 so enter now! For T&Cs or to enter your photo click here and good luck!
