Taking a self-guided walk is a cross between a fully independent and fully guided walk, where a walking tour operator provides you a certain level of support.

Raw Travel has taken this to the next level with ‘Adventure in a box’, offering all the elements that independent hikers want and need and at an affordable price.

RAW Travel has not only researched and mapped Australia’s classic walks, they have addressed the average hiker’s biggest concern: what to eat on the trails.

Raw Travel co-founders Dave and Mel Reynolds, who began the company 20 years ago, have used their extensive hiking knowledge and that of their staff, to craft a distinctly Australian series of ‘Independent Adventures’.

Trips start from just $199 and range from a 3-day micro-adventure on Victoria’s Grampians Peaks Trail to a 60-day 1000+km expedition on Western Australia’s Bibbulmun Track.

“We came up with something to suit the times. Australians are craving connection with nature and want to explore their own country,” says Dave Reynolds, Founder and Managing Director of RAW Travel.

All booked for you RAW Travel takes care of the key logistics, including national parks passes, campsite
bookings, and trail permits. RAW Travel can also assist with transfers and pre/post hike accommodation.

Handmade trail food delivered to your door The biggest innovation of RAW Travel’s new ‘Adventure in a box’ is their delicious range of locally-made Australian trail food called 'Raw Tucker', delivered direct to the door of hikers. All ingredients have been sourced locally from suppliers on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, a region renowned for its high-quality produce.

Essential trail guides and exclusive walking app RAW Travel has taken care of all the research needed for each walk – a task that seasoned hikers will tell you can take many days, even weeks.
